To do this, our Buyers have to understand the markets they trade in, theproduce they are purchasing and the complex supply chain to deliver the best dried fruit, nuts and seeds to our manufacturing site in Irthlingborough, and we are looking for an Assistant Buyer who can support our Procurement Team through managing the end toend buying process; to develop and strengthen our supplier management; critically ensuring availability of our goods, so they can get onto the shelves to be consumed.This role will support the Packaging Buying team in managing many of the daily processes; taking actions to reduce the impact to the business based on current information, supplier relationship management and ensuring minimal impact on our service to ourcustomers.This is a great opportunity to join our business, all we ask is that you are passionate about doing a good job, have an eye for detail; understand and can demonstrate the importance of following process and are comfortable using systems for analysis, informationand to help drive business decisions.Your experience, well you will likely have some experience working within a complex supply chain, ideally within packaging and you should be familiar with using an MRPII system. It would be even better if you had worked in FMCG within a food manufacturer,however, if you havent, that wont hold back your application.We need someone who is highly communicative, well organised, able to build relationships internally and with our suppliers, can draw accurate conclusions from the information they have access to and will react taking the appropriate actions.To succeed, you will have a strong sense of purpose, taking ownership and accountability of what you are involved in.
