Job Description

Production Engineer This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with proven hands on manufacturing engineering experience.Working on its new and existing product ranges, this role is vital to ensuring products are made in the most effective way possible at the right cost and with the minimum of fuss.Teknek is a specialist automation provider.   • Manufacturing Excellence Manage the use, improvement and development of best practise manufacturing engineering.
  • Operational Excellence. - drive all key metrics including OTIF, RFT, cost, delivery and quality.
Key Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for the new and existing manufacturing excellence program.
  • Ensure best practise in relation to production methods, testing, material and part selection
  • Play an active role in the development of new production processes and automation
  • Be responsible for calibration and maintence of all test & measurement equipment
Key Skills:
  • HND qualification and or completion of a recognised apprenticeship.
  • Experience in developing, discussing and implementing engineering solutions to technical issues.
  • An understanding of engineering principles and processes, particularly in an electromechanical machine environment.
  • Intimate knowledge of a wide range of manufacturing techniques including but not limited to
  • Sheet metal fabrication, high pressure die casting, turning & milling
  • Injection moulding and vacuum forming of plastic parts
  • Knowledge of machine control systems, actuators and sensors
o PLC controlo Pneumaticso Motors and drives
  • Experience in participating in process FMEA development.
  • Ability to work with 3D & 2D cad files & Microsoft Office
  • Experience of working on a multiple project platform.
  • Hands on when required - Proving new production methods and prototype builds.
  • Experience in Creating & maintaining clear & concise work instructions.
