Job Description

Terumo Aortic is a global medical device company dedicated to developing solutions for aortic and peripheral vascular disease. Our complete portfolio includes the treatment for thoracic, abdominal and peripheral aneurysms, acute and chronic dissections,and peripheral occlusions.The R&D department is based at Inchinnan Business Park, just outside Glasgow. The department is divided up into several teams, each team responsible for invention, innovation, design and approval of medical devices, mainly aortic grafts and delivery systemsfor the grafts. Currently there are four teams, Open surgery, Hybrid, Global Technology Team and Commercial and Endovascular. Each team consists of approximately 6-10 Engineers with Technicians and scientists supporting the teams. There is a lot of overlappingbetween the teams due to the nature and complexity of the products.There is also a sister company at Sunrise, Florida and there is a great deal of integration between the R&D departments at both sites.Terumo Aortic are looking for a Planning Coordinator Apprentice to join them. Working within the Production Planning team you will be reporting directly to the Production Planning Manager. This role involves providing support to the various Manufacturingareas to ensure their work orders are released on time and highlighting any that become critical or overdue.Interested Apply today!Key Responsibilities:

  • Release work orders to production using internal systems QAD and MES
  • Ensure work order due dates are met and late orders are reported
  • Drive Due Date Performance of works orders to a maximum
  • Assist in preparing reports for planning team using MS Office
  • Prepare "On Time To Promise" analysis for any missed dates and identify root cause
  • Active liaison role with "clean rooms" and ability to work under their conditions when required
  • Support with ad hoc projects as and when required.
  • You will learn how to use MS Office tools to assist with internal communication; Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. These will also be used for writing and sharing reports.
Required Skills:
  • Good work ethic
  • Strong communicator
  • Basic knowledge of Excel would be advantageous
  • Computer literate
Additional Information:
  • Salary £14,500 per annum, £19,710 on completion of Apprenticeship
  • Monday - Thursday 8.30am until 5.00pm, Friday 8.30am until 1.30pm
