Job Description

ABOUT THE JOBWe are looking to recruit Field Trial Technicians, to work in plant variety trials. The roles will involve samples collection, measuring plant characteristics in the field and via image analysis, and a range of other practical tasks. This is a great opportunityto gain experience in agricultural field crops/plot trials, while developing professional skills in team working, time management and practical problem solving.The work can be physically demanding at times and will entail spending substantial periods working outdoors, in all weather conditions.Salary: £20,972 per annum, depending on experience, with overtime and weekend working possible during peak timeContract: Fixed term from 25 March 2024 to 30 August 2024Working hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week (08:00-16:00) or Part-time: Monday to Friday, hours/days negotiableABOUT YOUIdeally, you have:

  • An interest in agriculture/plant sciences and be willing to learn
  • A good eye for detail
  • Ability to follow strict protocols
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and written and ability to work as part of a team
Desirable requirements:A driving licence or access to independent means of travelling, enabling you to travel to trial sites within a 20-minute radius.
