We are actively looking to engage a Transport Planner for an exciting new role in the Ilkeston area of Derbyshire in the general haulage world of logistics!Client DetailsOur client are a world leading general haulage and distribution business with 17 sites in the UK who supply both trade, retail & industrial services. The company has recently grown to employ 390 HGV & LGV vehicles who serve a 24/7 transport network. Withover 8,000 loads on a typical day to day basis - this is an extremely fast-paced transport operation and would suit those looking to grow and advance a career in the sector. Future growth is also planned for the site, thus resulting in high levels of opportunitiesmoving into 2024 and onwards!DescriptionAs a Transport Planner you will report into the Transport Planning Manager and Head of Logistics on a daily basis. You will be based at the Ilkeston area of Derbyshire and have the following areas of responsibility. This role will primarily be responsiblefor planning, in a timely manner transport requirements on a day 1 / day 2 basis, so that the team meet the required plan, logistics service and cost performance targets.
