To manage the provision of a flexible, agile and responsive business support service across the Supported Accommodation/Staying Close service. The service strengthens support for those leaving care by improving their connection with the community and family,while improving their mental health and wellbeing, while making positive steps towards independence. The service also monitors accommodation provision for children in care and care leavers. Supervise and performance manage a team of business services staffto deliver a broad range of business service support including the provision of expert advice and guidance on policies, procedures and processes.Candidate will be based at 46-47 Bloomsgrove, Ilkeston, DE7 8DQ but will also be required to work from The Pod, Chesterfield, S40 2NT. The position will primarily be officed based due to the needs of the service with occasional working from home with linemanager approval.1. Manage a team of business services staff to provide an efficient and effective business support function ensuring services are delivered to agreed targets and objectives and meet quality standards.2. Ensure the effective co-ordination of work streams to manage business support within own area of responsibility to support peaks and troughs in business need.3. Provide, through advice and guidance to social care professionals, operational managers and employees on relevant policies, processes and procedures ensuring compliance with appropriate regulations and legislation.4. Effectively manage the continual development of members of the team, setting objectives and monitoring performance. Responsible for monitoring budgets and the analysis, manipulation and presentation of information and data to inform operational and financialdecisions.5. Undertake research and project work under direction of the Business Service Manager. 6. Work flexibly across Children’s Services Business Services functions providing effective administrative support possibly at a different location as required.
