Job Description

Job Title: Stores PersonLocation: Hythe, KentSalary: up to £22,000Hours: Monday 7am - 5pm, Tuesday to Thursday 8am - 5pm and Friday 8am - 1pm.Our Client:A globally renowned manufacturer that pride themselves on delivering high-quality products to their customers around the world. With a strong commitment to innovation, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, they have established themselves as a leader intheir industry.Role Summary:As a Stores Person, you will play a crucial role in the logistics and inventory management operations. You will be responsible for the accurate and efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of materials within the facility. Your attention to detail andability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential for maintaining an organised and productive stores area.Benefits:

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:
  • Loading and unloading deliveries.
  • Putting stock away in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Picking, packing and wrapping of customer orders.
  • Support and assist the receiving/offloading of goods, ensure paperwork is correct and that deliveries in and out are cross checked to avoid costly short delivery issues.
  • Ensure deliveries are recorded accurately onto the system on the date of receipt to provide live accurate data.
  • Support and communicate any stock shortages and any stock discrepancy issues.
  • Support the departments with allocation of materials for production requirements.
  • Understand and follow the stock booking in and allocation process.
  • Allocate and record stock on the computer and feedback any deviations/discrepancies.
  • Assist with stock takes including reports, physical accounting, reconciliation and investigating discrepancies.
  • Always adhering to the Health & Safety policies and procedures without exception.
  • All other reasonable duties required by your line manager or the senior management team.
Experience and skills required for this position:
  • Previous experience within a stores / stock role
  • A strong communicator and the ability to communicate with people at all levels
  • Can do attitude and willing to help others
  • The ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • IT literate and good spoken and written English
  • Good organisation and time-keeping skills
