Planning consultant Salary: Up to £60,000 (DOE)Location Hythe - office based until passed probationHours: Monday- Friday- 9am-5:30pm I have an exciting new opportunity for a (M)RTPI qualified or a level of experience equivalent Planning Consultant who is looking to join a friendly and successful team. You will be working alongside a director who would be your manager allowing clear, concise,and smooth communication and work on a variety of projects across the Southeast including agricultural, commercial, and residential developments.About the company:

This Chartered Town Planners client is based in the Southeast and are looking to recruit a Planning consultant in their office based in Hythe.
This client has provided planning and development consultancy services since 1994.
In 2013 they merged with an estate agent where both companies have built a first-class reputation of delivering all levels of service in a professional, friendly and cost effective manner.
This client works with limited companies, resident groups, local authorities, and other public bodies being able to service all different clients.
They are well known for specialising in planning advice and architectural design/ technical drawings.

Duties of the Planning consultant:

Shadowing your director on meetings to meet and engage with potential and new clients with their prospected developments to carry out site appraisals.
Manage a caseload of clients through to completion trying to stay within the 8-week deadline processes.
Keeping up to date with legislation changes to ensure you are advising the client correctly on their potential developments.
Complete and supporting the preparation of major planning applications including monitoring applications, drafting representations and planning appeals.
Monitoring of emerging local plan documents and preparations and submission of representations.
Collaboratively working with architects, engineers, designers and urbanists, committed to designing exceptional spaces.

Requirements and experience of this Planning consultant:

(M)RTPI qualification or equivalent qualifications/experience
Driving license
Public or private sector
Up to date with policy and legislation changes
Knowledge of listed building consent
ANOB in permitted developments
