To develop all products for the brands in line with the seasonal timetable and to meet the responsibilities outlined below.Client DetailsBritish Heritage Brand of Outdoor & Sports apparel who have been trading for more than 40 years. Selling ladies, mens and accessories .DescriptionUsing the PLM system produce first prototype spec for new design work including block assessment, creative styling, size measurements for base size and the grade. Develop designs for internal designers and any occasional freelance designers.Arrange cloth trial and prototype testing with internal and external wearer trailers. Collate and share feedback to design team.Edit and update CAD designs using Illustrator.Produce sample reports for each prototype until sealed. Aim to final seal after second or third prototype for all commercial styles.Produce final salesman sample spec including all fabric and trim details and colour breakdown information.Assist in the preparation for the seasonal product launches. Tasks to include product merchandising, product styling at photoshoots, and possible product presentations.Place all lab dip work direct with fabric suppliers across all relevant qualities. Help to monitor progress on lab dip spreadsheet and confirm all lab dip work.Place all fabric testing on new qualities with the nominated fabric-testing house. Feedback and fileresults.Arrange for new salesman samples to be sent out for testing. Collate and share feedback to design team. Coordinate post tester review meeting and list action points.Be involved in size set fittings with the pre- production department.Support the pre-production team and ensure that the salesman sample spec is accurate before final handover of the style around the time of launch.Put together resourcing packs as required by production team.Complete any Q.C. checks on bulk as required by the production team.Liaise with Product Developer in weekly progress update reports.Liaise with design team in weekly progress update reports.Communicate regularly with the production team throughout the season.Build and maintain strong business relationships with our product factories and fabric suppliers using clear and effective communication using word, excel and outlook.Be available for some occasional overseas travel required to factories to discuss developments and maintain the Fair Wear Foundation standards.24.
