Do you want the opportunity to help set up a division and processes that will assist with contractual issues and moulded in YOUR preferred wayThe main purpose of this role is to help mitigate/minimise risk to the company and maximise profits through effective contract negotiation and management.Responsibilities • Attendance of pre-contract meetings• Negotiation of subcontracts and sub-sub-contracts• Administration of sub-contracts and sub-sub-contracts including issue of required Notices under the contracts• Preparation and valuation of interim applications and final accounts• Identification and notification of variations• Preparation of payments for sub-sub-contractors• Negotiation and resolution of contractual disputes• Cash flow forecasting• Assessing and managing credit risks• Monthly WIP reports for accounts specifying and making provisions for any known/potential risks• Support the on-going development of the business position in its key sectors• Ensure compliance with the Company policies including Health & Safety• Observe and comply with all good working practices• Responsibility for complying with and implementing the Q&E management system within their area of activity• Any other duties as appropriate to the role as may be assigned by line managerCore knowledge• Good knowledge of construction contract law• Experience in contract negotiation• Experience of administration of contracts and sub-contracts• Claims and dispute resolution skills and proven record• Commercially aware• Good computer skills with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office in particularly Excel• Ability to work on own initiative, but understand level of responsibility within the team• Hold a valid driving licenseImportant Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
