National Account Manager (UK Based)Hospitals & Community Equipment StoresCompany OverviewOur client is a leader in consumer healthcare and the largest global manufacturer and distributor of products to the rehabilitation and sports medicine markets. The companys products are sold to leading healthcare facilities and practitioners such as physicaltherapists, athletic trainers, and chiropractors, as well as direct to consumers.Job SummaryThe National Account Manager is responsible for driving the strategy for the defined national accounts within the Hospital & Community Equipment Stores channel to meet the required goals and objectives. They understand the metrics they are held accountablefor and the factors that contribute to achieving success.This person drives sales performance within the defined account portfolio and undertakes required actions to ensure the success of the account portfolio and wider team performance.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesAs the National Account Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Works collaboratively with the Channel Manager to set long and short term sales strategies and execution plans for the defined National Account account portfolio
  • Plan and organisestime effectively to deliver goals and objectives
  • Reviews own individual performance goals throughout the year, completes annual performance reviews and develops individual development plans, holds one to ones and team meetings
  • Focuses efforts on sales and profit growth targets, individual goals and objectives to deliver quarterly and annual targets.
  • Proactively works with Marketing and R&D functions to develop and evolve a successful product portfolio within the National account market place
  • Continually develops knowledge of national account customer strategies and market place trends to maximise existing and new opportunities
  • Manages National account portfolio to deliver required sales targets
  • Networking and relationship building with key customers
Job QualificationsAs the National Account Manager, you will require:
  • Proven track record in consultative and solution selling
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of management and build good working relationships across all areas of the business and with external stakeholders
  • Good communication skills and is a strong networker, with the ability to build links across internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify product gaps and opportunities
  • Experience in managing high profile national accounts with varying strategies and requirements
  • Takes personal responsibility to deliver to tight timescales with a disciplined attention to detail
  • Strong team player who has a confident and professional manner
  • Commercially astute to maximise and deliver business opportunities within national accounts
