Senior Test Engineer £Salary negotiable plus benefits High end client based in Huntingdon are looking for an experienced Test Engineer to join their growing and high technology team.Main function of Senior Test Engineer Responsible for specifying, designing, and implementing the tests that ensure the quality and the functionality of all our clients products.This involves all phases of the QA and testing program, from designing the test parameters, jigs and fixtures, to troubleshooting errors, and writing test procedures.Running tests and collating test reportsProviding feedback to engineersSetting up and running one-off experiments to investigate detailed issuesoMeeting with the product design team to determine product testing parameters/requirement.oWriting test plans and creating test cases for the product.oDeveloping and documenting automated test systems for testing designed product.oConducting quality assurance and designing performance tests using the new testing procedures.oTroubleshooting any errors and streamlining the testing procedures.oWriting up the final QA and test procedures for the test technicians.oTraining the technicians and providing technical support when needed.oEnsuring all tests and procedures meet company and industry standards.oPreparing test reports for management.The Senior Test Engineer Qualifications/education requiredBachelors degree in Electronic Engineering (or similar) to at least 2.1 level, or equivalent practical experienceExperience requiredopast experience with software QAoscripting / sys admin / networking skillsoPrevious work experience as a test engineer and producing automated test equipment.oFamiliarity with Windows / Linux or other Unix OS / MacOS.oFamiliarity with measurement equipment and techniques using oscilloscopes, dScope.oExtensive knowledge of engineering and testing procedures.oGood problem-solving skills.oAbility to project manage.oAbility to troubleshoot and think out of the box.oHigh-level technical writing skills.Monday to Friday Days HuntingdonFor more information on the Senior Test Engineer post, please contact Lisa Parsons
