Job Description

Production Operative - Food Industry6am-6pm - 4 on 4 off rotaJoin our client, a leading player in the Food Industry, as a Production Operative and be a part of their dynamic and innovative team. Our client is passionate about providing ingenious new products that consumers love, making them true partners in protein.In this role, you will be responsible for completing all Warehouse & Logistics duties safely and effectively in line with company procedures and policies. Your attention to detail and ability to follow simple instructions will be crucial as you work as partof a highly effective team. With previous warehouse and/or logistics experience, you will bring your knowledge and skills to contribute to the continuous improvement culture in the factory.Key Responsibilities/Authorities:

  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times, prioritising the well-being of yourself and others.
  • Adhere to all training received, following Current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company procedures.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Warehouse & Logistics Despatch, Intake & Decant procedures, using FOPS, WMS, OCM, and Hand Scanner to complete Logistics procedures to required standards.
  • Maintain accurate and audit-worthy paperwork, while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practise (GMP) standards and a clean-as-you-go policy.
  • Conduct mechanical handling equipment (MHE) checks prior to use, ensuring equipment is safe and ready for operation.
  • Embrace a flexible approach to job rotation, showing a positive attitude towards training to enhance customer service.
  • Carry out any other requested tasks within your ability or for which you have been trained.
Requirements:
  • Strong English speaking, reading, and writing skills.
  • Numeracy skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow simple instructions.
  • Proven experience working as part of a highly effective team.
  • Previous experience with mechanical handling equipment, ideally trained on at least two pieces of equipment.
  • Previous warehouse and/or logistics experience.
  • Excellent timekeeping and attendance record.
