Job Description

Pensions AdministratorSalary DOE - Hybrid Role office based HuntingdonPension/Payroll experience is desiredTo provide outstanding support across the organisation by assisting colleagues to deliver expert administration in a timely and effective manner whilst maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and integrity. To provide administrative support primarilyto the Payroll and Pensions department. However, broader administrative support across the whole company may also be required.You will be constantly striving to improve the efficiency of working practices to meet the company’s objective of "clarity and consistency" and working "smarter not harder" to facilitate an increase in customer base whilst maintaining and improving customerservice.Main Responsibilities/Duties of the Job Customer Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and timely data to pension funds. Build and maintain effective working relationships with pension funds to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Provide administration support to Payroll Teams by being a Fund process knowledge expert for an allocation of funds.
  • Respond to telephone and email enquiries accurately and in a professional manner adhering to Service Level Agreement.
Internal Team Responsibilities
  • Take ownership for your allocated funds monthly and annual pension reporting - interrogating report data to ensure accuracy.
  • Work with funds to develop innovative and automated reporting of new starter, hours/post changes and leavers.
  • Support Payroll colleagues with pension administration for their portfolio (portal accesses and support how to use, service queries)
  • Support with Auto enrolment and re-enrolment processes for schools by answering queries and producing letters.
  • Responsible for monthly reporting of Pensions service data - interrogating data to ensure accuracy and resolve queries resulting from submissions.
  • Attend and participate in regular team meetings and training to keep up to date with current policies and procedures and other relevant guidance.

  • Proactively liaise with HR and Payroll colleagues on administrative, operational and service development matters.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy with an awareness of implications of actions across and externally with customers.
  • Contribute to the sharing of good practice and knowledge amongst colleagues as required.

  • Provide support for other colleagues when necessary.

  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications 5 Grade 4 to 9 GCSE’s including Maths and English, or equivalent
  • Ability to establish working relationships and credibility
  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment
  • Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure
  • Proven pension administration experience
  • Ability to contribute proactively to a strong team working culture
  • Ability to demonstrate sound proof reading and editing skills to create high quality documentation
  • Able to demonstrate careful attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good ICT skills including use of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to use initiative and work independently where required
