What do we need from you
  • C
  • Embedded software engineering or firmware engineering expertise
  • Microcontroller experience
  • Working with oscilloscopes / logic analysers etc.
We also need someone who is keen to expand their skillset. So whilst you will probably know some of the below technologies too, the successful candidate will be keen to learn more of them over the course of time
  • Peripherals and interfaces to them - I2C, SPC etc.
  • Wireless comms - Bluetooth, cellular, radio etc.
  • Wired comms such as CAN
  • Low power and hand held electronics
  • Regulated software protocols - such as medical standard IEC 62304, and more
  • and modern software methodologies, tools, and best practices - agile, version control, well documented code,
  • You will also be given the chance to work directly with clients, and be given the training to allow you to capture realistic requirements effectively in order to deliver well defined projects
Location and working arrangements:
  • West Cambridge
  • Flexible working
  • Hybrid working - Preferably 3-5 days in the office due to the nature of embedded firmware, but it isnt regimented. The goal is to get the work done effectively in a good team lead environment
Benefits:
  • Salary commensurate with experience from £40k up to £55k
  • Bonus scheme
  • total of 36 days holiday (28 days holiday + 8 bank holidays)
