Job Description

Commercial Finance Analyst £25K-£27K salary with study support availableWe are looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join the Commercial Finance Team at our Head Office in Accrington.The purpose of this role is tooffer commercial insight and financial assistance towards the forward-looking part of our business.This role would suit a junior analyst looking to develop in a UK retailer going through a period of transformation.Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a collaborative rolling forecast to predict future sales and product performance to aid decision making.
  • Scenario planning and modelling to support the running and strategic delivery of ad hoc projects.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to capture product level insight to output trends, opportunities and risks.
  • Improve business processes and create controls in the modelling process to manage pre-empt risk in forecast and improve accuracy.
  • Actively participate in planning meeting providing insights and projections

  • Excellent attention to detail and an analytical, enquiring mind
  • Comfortable manipulating and presenting key information from large data sets using Excel.
  • A self-starter – who is both curious and enthusiastic.
  • A love for problem solving, making sense of something complex and communicating it to others in a way that is easy to understand
  • Advanced Excel knowledge.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Preferred
  • Proven work experience in a similar role.
  • Degree educated; ideally in mathematics, economics or finance.
  • Suit early stage CIMA/ACCA student
  • Tableau and Alteryx knowledge.
  • Retail experience or interest.
