Job Description

SurveyorWest YorkshireTemporary 3 months- on goingSellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a surveyor to join an established company in the West Yorkshire region Main duties and responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for the delivery of high-quality maintenance projects to connects properties, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Carrying out surveys to customers homes, recording detailed stock condition information and diagnosing building faults and failures
  • Preparing detailed specifications, procuring, and managing the delivery on site of repairs
  • Completing maintenance and component replacement works to ensure quality and customer satisfaction are achieved.
Specific responsibilities:
  • Taking a lead role in ensuring the effective inspection of properties and estates and the timely and accurate collection and recording of data on systems.
  • Contributing to the development of component and service specifications for the delivery of planned maintenance work.
  • Proactively communicating and engaging with tenants both before and during works in relation to any tenants enquiries.
  • Ensuring that complaints and other tasks including pre-inspections, post-inspections, surveys for condensation, damp or mould or disrepair, are completed effectively within a specified timescale
  • To provide full contract administration duties for all projects and to monitor and report on the progress and performance of contractors undertaking the work.
  • To maintain detailed project files for audit and to support the effective operation of the associations information management systems through the timely and accurate input of data.
  • To Assist in the effective management of maintenance budgets by providing high quality and reliable information for progress and financial reports.
  • Preparation liaison and submission of building control, planning and listed building applications.
Essential education and qualifications:
  • Relevant qualification in building construction and maintenance
  • Extensive experience of building project management and administration
  • Significant practical working experience of construction project costing and cost monitoring
  • Working with tenants/customers within a customer focussed business
  • In depth understanding of contractual and health and safety law in relation to maintenance and development.
  • Extensive experience of explain the causes of failure of building components and the likely results of failure.
