Job Description

Exclusive Permanent FT post - Trade Counter & Warehouse postNorth Nottingham based Immediate start, with excellent Salary of £23k, plus benefits and working hours.Adecco, Nottingham are recruiting for this exclusive Permanent post to start immediately. This is a great role for a flexible team player.As part of your role, your duties will consist of;

  • Work to the Company Safety, Health and Environment Policy at all times.
  • Take and process Sales Orders from customers in accordance with ISO9002 standards.
  • Process goods in and trade counter sales in an efficient and timely manner in accordance with ISO9002.
  • Store and maintain warehouse stock in accordance with ISO9002 standards.
  • Be responsible for effecting an efficient and satisfactory delivery service to external and internal customers of the company.
  • Maintain the branch catalogue library and product literature.
  • Be responsible for ensuring filing is up to date.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the office, stores and trade counter.
  • Goods purchasing under the direction of the Branch Manager
  • Collect payment from customers and record transactions on customer receipts.
  • Drive company vehicle to deliver good as required.
  • Write customer orders and record sales according to company guidelines.
  • Inform regular customers of new products or services and price changes.
  • Listen to and resolve customers complaints regarding products or services.
  • Record sales or delivery information on daily sales or delivery record.
  • Arrange merchandise and sales promotion displays or issue sales promotion materials to customers.
  • Answer customers questions about merchandise and advise customers on merchandise selection.
  • Itemise and total customer merchandise selection at sales counter, using cash register, and accept cash or charge card for purchases or charge to customer account.
  • Take inventory or examine merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished.
  • Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new or transferred merchandise.
  • Receive, open, unpack and issue sales floor merchandise.
  • Compare merchandise invoices to items actually received to ensure that shipments are correct.
  • Answer telephones to provide information and receive orders.
  • Provide information about items, such as availability, operation or description.
  • The above duties may involve having access to information of a confidential nature. Confidentiality must be maintained at all times

  • A working knowledge of the health and safety requirements of the HASAW Act.
  • Good standard of numeracy or literacy.
  • A full, clean UK driving licence.
