Job Description

Our client is seeking a Finance Assistant on a part time basis to join their small team. You will have experience in a similar role and be able to work off your own initiative with minimal supervision.This role is permanent and to start ASAP.

  • 20 hours per week, over 5 days
  • Mon - Fri - 10.30am - 2.30pm
  • £8.71 - £10.26 per hour (monthly pay)
  • Hucknall (OFFICE BASED)
Duties would include:
  • Daily review of systems, complete reconciliation, coding, credit control, updating others where required.
  • Responding to all questions and queries from customers and colleagues, meeting agreed service levels for resolution.
  • Answering the office phone and responding to all Finance incoming email enquiries and requests.
  • Providing reports when requested and proactively using system functionality to manage credit control and responding to customer questions.
  • Audit and record supplier invoices and compile for payment.
  • Producing and administering customer Credit Agreements.
  • Production of and management of all customer invoicing.
  • Assist with any one off payments or purchasing.
  • Support in preparation of monthly financial reports.
  • Support in drafting and filing of VAT Returns.
  • Support the Events Management team with the operational management of all events, including the processing of at event payments.
  • Working with the Head of Finance to ensure invoices are paid promptly.
Skills & Experience:
  • Extensive experience in accounting software, ideally Xero.
  • Bookkeeping experience.
  • Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and maintaining general ledgers.
  • Experience in credit control, communicating effectively on email and phone.
  • Confidence when using cloud-based systems, Excel and general office software.
  • Thrive when working within a fast-paced environment.
