Solutions Architect - 12 Month Contract Location: Hook, Hampshire Rate: Competitive on Application Compass Life Sciences are working closely with a global major player in the Animal Health sector, and are supporting the search for a talented Solutions Architect, to join an exciting team working in an enterprise environment. This is a rare opportunity to have influence and to directly shape the organisation you are working in, supporting stakeholders make the most of their cloud environment. The business is going through a significant growth phase after separating from its parent company to become a standalone organisation, whilst working through an acquisition in parallel following which will see it as one of the largest Animal Health Pharmaceutical companies in the world. The Role Working hand in hand with stakeholders build their capabilities, the you will use your experience to make the most of their technologies and Cloud infrastructure. You will be at the crossroads of business and technology and engage with applications teams at all stages of cloud adoption. You will take a leading role in creating and presenting technical content and best practices. With ownership of the overall technical relationship between business facing IT teams and TechOps, you will provide recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency to business stakeholders. Underpinning this will be your understanding of the stakeholders needs and your ability to provide prescriptive guidance on how to create business value with technology. As a Solutions Architect, you will be able to practice your creativity, linking technology to tangible solutions and educate stakeholders and internal customers about what is and can be possible. You will have the opportunity to define and invent cloud-native reference architectures, whilst also having the support to grow your expertise in the industry and new technologies. Key Responsibilities Include; Work directly with customers of IT to accelerate their projects and recommend best-practice architectures in line with their long-term business outcomes.Run and execute solutions architecture reviews, providing clear, targeted feedback and, where required, run sessions to help the customer further develop their designs. This may be in the form of hands-on sessions or working sessions with stakeholders.Must be able to present to key stakeholders, possible options, recommendations, and next steps for application modernisation.Own the technical relationship with the customer and operate as their trusted advisor. The best interests of the customer will shape the guidance provided.Share the voice of the customer to influence the roadmap of new features and services for the TechOps platform.Create and capture best practices, technical content, and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts).Evangelise and educate about the businesss technologies (e.g. workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos, or conferences).Contribute to the growth of the Solutions Architecture organisation by promoting a transparent culture of coaching, mentoring, and asking questions.Develop areas of depth in technical domains relevant to your interests and your business partners outcomes.To be considered for this role, you should have expert knowledge of Cloud platform and have had experience working as a Solutions Architect within a MS Azure environment. Advanced expertise working across the entire toolchain is not essential provided you are able to demonstrate a sound technical background, with the desire to learn.
