Job Description

Job Title: Pension Administrator ApprenticeLocation:Serco House, Bartley Wood Business Park, 16 Bartley Way, Hook, Hampshire, RG27 9UYWorking Week:37.5 hours per week, MondayFriday, 09:0017:30Salary:Up to £12,000 per annum plus benefits & 25 days annual leaveApprenticeship Qualification:L3 Business Administrator StandardExpected Apprenticeship Duration:24 months minimumSerco has a strong commitment to apprentices and training and as a successful Serco apprentice, you will be provided with unparalleled support throughout the duration of your programme. You will develop the skills you need for the job by working alongsideyour colleagues and getting hands on experience. You will be helped to build relationships with peers, allowing you to achieve your professional development objectives. Full training and support will be given for this role.Youll be working within the UK Pensions Department, to provide dedicated administrative support to the business and its employees in relation to the numerous pension schemes and develop a key understanding of the pensions and in part, payroll functions.The role will be responsible for, but not limited to;

  • Updating relevant pension administration systems (ResourceLink, SAP, Pension Portals) to reflect changes to employee information
  • Processing payment schedules on a monthly basis
  • Assigning queries within our Service-Now system to relevant pension colleagues including scanning post and correspondence
  • Liaisewith pension providers, internal stakeholders and employees
  • Processing contribution schedules
  • Assist the team with project related work
As part of the apprenticeship scheme well provide you with L3 Business Administration and L2 Functional English and Maths training (all delivered on site at Serco). Once youve completed your apprenticeship, youll have the opportunity to progress your career into the world of payroll and pensions.About youTo be successful in this role you will need to be organised, able to plan and prioritise and be a real problem solver! So as well as excellent IT skills youll be someone who is thorough and organised in your working approach and be comfortable in dealingwith multiple tasks at once.The role requires a pro-active, well-organised and confident individual with a methodical approach to problem solving along with excellent customer service skills. Your ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbally) as well as being a committedteam player is vital in keeping your internal customers happy.We use a variety of online tools and technology, so youll be happy working with MS Office Suite and can easily turn your hand to online systems and tools. Lastly, youll need to have between an A* and E in Maths and English (or 9 to 2 under the new gradingsystem) and have a strong interest in Human Resources.We are looking for somebody who is, enthusiastic, confident, determined and hardworking and who is happy to constantly learn and develop new skills with an interest in Business Administration. You will be proactive, resourceful and efficient with a can-doattitude and committed to Sercos Values of Trust, Care, Innovation and Pride.What else do you need to know
  • It is essential that you are able to travel daily to Hook to arrive on time for work, during COVID restrictions you will be required to be inducted and work from home. [Subject to Covid-19 social distancing arrangements). You will be required to undergosecurity checks, which includes a check of criminal records.
