The Head of Supply Chain will be responsible and accountable for the supply chain function for the Europe entity of our client whilst working within the framework of the global corporate supply chain processes and strategy. This is a hybrid role.This includes a number of responsibilities:Key objective of ensuring continuity of supply, and meeting cost and cost reduction objectives.Supply chain management processes, including the selection, evaluation and long term monitoring of performance of company Approved Vendor List (AVL).Acting as the key contact window within the company for all supply chain activities including sourcing, pricing and understanding of market trends.Ensuring continual compliance with company (both local and corporate) policies.Significant focus on and monitoring of product costs, ensuring predictable spend, while meeting budgeted targets. Will involve working closely with all key work streams to provide supply chain support on new projects and supply chain strategy.Working together with the corporate supply chain to define, support and maintain global AVL.Tight working relationships with contract manufacturers to support supply chain activities to ensure best costs and leadtime are met to ensure profitable products being manufactured on time.Ideally you will have experience in:- Proven experience of working in a global framework and defining, implementing, and improving supply chain processes Management of Supply Chain and contract manufacturers in Europe and Asia, proactively managing and mitigating issues. Can demonstrate a good understanding of bills of materials in an electronic environment. Good experience and knowledge of SAP preferred but not essential. Proven experience of securing cost savings and maintaining costs within the electronics industry.
