Job Description

Respected Business SME and Consumer lender - profitable, established, growthBasingstok location with hybrid working policies - c 3x days p wk in officeDescriptionFinancial Control Manager - Challenger, BasingstokeFinancial Services

  • Management of a team of 5, ensuring an effective and well-motivated team
  • Ownership of the month end close process, analysis, and reporting
  • Managing Accounts Payable and business expenses
  • Month end and Year end - Responsibility for month end journals, balance sheet reconciliations and further management information
  • Payroll processing and review
  • Processing quarterly VAT returns
  • Key liaison with external tax advisors in relation to Corporation tax and other tax issues
  • Oversight of controls on key operational systems and process
  • Supporting year end and interim audit requests and a key point of contact for external auditors
  • Development, coaching and training of staff. Ensuring clear objectives and focussed performance management where required
ProfileFinancial Control Manager - Challenger, Basingstoke
  • Strong Management and Leaderships skills
  • Ability to scan the horizon and proactively overcome obstacles
  • Excel (use of formulae, lookups and pivot tables) and ability to manage large volumes of data
  • Experience in a Financial Services environment
  • Experience of using General Ledger and Finance Systems
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualified Accountant
Job Offer
