Job Description

Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Proposals Co-ordinator (12 Month Fixed Term) to join our Regional team to work in Eurocentral, Scotland or flexible on location.Role Purpose:

  • To prepare non-technical aspects of the Tender Bid Quality submissions and sometimes PQQs ensuring that high quality, compelling proposals are delivered to the customer in a manner consistent with the Balfour Beatty Gated Lifecycle and our strategy for winning the right business.
  • To establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with customers, partners, supply chain and the Work Winning community in Balfour Beatty.
    • As a Proposals Co-ordinator, your main responsibilities are as follows:
  • Formulate and prepare proposals with senior management to secure profitable orders;
  • Form relationships with the customer or their representatives to develop clear understanding of their requirements to enable development of our value proposition;
  • Oversee and prepare the preparation, coordination and delivery of presentations to customers as required, to successfully communicate our proposals;
  • Oversee the establishment, production and implementation of bid management processes;
  • Ensure that technical support is provided throughout bids and delivery as required;
  • Encourage knowledge sharing across Centres of Excellence and the wider Balfour Beatty Group (harness the capability of the larger organisation on a local basis);
  • Assist with or prepare documentation for submission to the customer;
  • Ensure that considered responses are produced to customer generated questions/queries during /after the tender process;
  • Live the Balfour Beatty Values;
  • Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm;
  • Support the delivery of CSUK’s Sustainability activities;
    • The following qualities and experience are essential:
  • Has thorough knowledge of Word, Excel and in design publishing software;
  • Has good publishing experience to format submissions;
  • Has good report writing skills;
  • Has ability to engage with and drive the team to produce quality outputs;
  • Pays attention to detail and will see tasks through to completion;
  • Is a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Is a self-starter who can manage their own time and proactively seeks and executes activities that will add value to their function;
  • Has some knowledge of the construction industry or experience within a project based organisation;
