You will be responsible for the sales activitieswithin the branch, taking responsibility for the delivery of sales and profit growth and personally managing relationships with key customers and suppliers. The Branch Director will set direction for the operational side of the branch, ensuring resourcesare optimised in order to minimise cost and maximise profit. You’ll provide leadership, coaching and motivation to all team members, recognising the achievements of talented managers, supervisors and staff who are able to drive the business forward. In addition,you’ll promote the importance of Health & Safety, of environmentally responsible behaviour and the highest standards of business ethics and corporate requirements.Successful candidates must have:• Self-motivation, with the ability to embrace change and motivate others to do so• A background in the Construction industry, ideally in the local area• A proven track record in meeting targets and building strong relationships with customers and exploiting business opportunities• Previous exposure to a broad range of business and operational issues• Tenaciousness, ambition and level-headedness, especially under pressure• Great interpersonal skills, a desire to learn and good IT skills• The ability to manage a varied team in order to achieve a common goalIn return we offer:• Highly Competitive salary with annual pay award and excellent bonus scheme• Car or car allowance• 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays.
