An exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Analyst has opened in a leading innovative biotechnology/biomedical lab based in the central belt in Scotland between Glasgow and Edinburgh. The role is commutable from Edinburgh, Livingstone, Glasgow, Falkirk, Stirling and other similar locations.There are several roles available and the client is flexible to work with the successful candidates depending on each individual circumstances. There are also a variety of roles including Temp, Fixed and Permanent and will be up to the client’s discretion in terms of what is offered.With a hotel on site, the company are also able to provide accommodation and are flexible on hours allowing people to work a full week over reduced days if required/living further away.Responsibilities:In this role your day to day responsibilities include:- Undertaking qPCR contract work on Covid Samples which have been made benign.- qPCR Testing Give support to other members of the team when necessary- Adhering to all relevant SOPs and demonstrate good lab practice.- Making sure the correct PPE is always worn- Demonstrate good written and communication skillsAre you right for the role- You will have experience using QPCR- You will have a degree, Masters or PhD within Biology or related fields- You will be a hard worker and flexible to company demands- You will have experience in laboratory testing, namely biological analysis- You will be available at short noticeThis is a great opportunity for someone looking to gather experience within Biological analysis which also has the scope for progression.
