We are currently looking to recruit an HR Business Partner to be responsible for ensuring that the broader HR function works effectively, by advising, influencing and supporting our businesses at a strategic level in the north of the UKYorkshire to Scotland.What does the role involveAs an HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for ensuring that the broader HR function works effectively. Youll report into the Head of HR and will implement Group policy on talent management, people development and remuneration andreward but introducing and supporting specific initiatives and supporting specialist HR functions in detailed implementation.You will engender a culture which recognises and promotes the absolute importance of health, safety and environmentally responsible behaviour, the highest standards of business ethics and compliance with legal and corporate requirements. You will provide ERsupport on a range of issues such as disciplinary, grievance, long-term sickness/absence meetings and performance management issues and act as a coach to support managers through these processes.The role will cover our North Region, with hybrid working across multiple branches and home working, which will entail being on the road for 3 days a week with 2 or 3 overnights a month.Whilst this is an HR BP role, if youre an HR Advisorlooking for your next step, this may also be the role for you.The successful candidate will require:A track record of providing effective generalist HR support to a business unit and influencing senior managers in both HR and broader business management issuesStrong communication skills with the ability to interact and influence a range of stakeholdersExcellent organisational skills and diary management skills with the willingness to be on the road travelling to our branchesUnderstanding, empathy and the assertiveness to stand your ground, but kind with great listening skillsExperience within a distribution environment or similar would be advantageousLevel 5 CIPD qualification would be preferableIn return we offer:Competitive salary with annual pay award and staff recognition schemesCar or car allowanceGreat work life balance, with sociable working hours.25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays.
