This post is for Penrith region.The NHS has now started to deliver Covid-19 vaccinations to millions of at risk people across the country and work is underway to recruit Covid-19 vaccinators across a number of sites in the North East & North Cumbria regions.COVID-19 Vaccinators will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering a safe and effective service for the mass delivery of the COVID-19 vaccine(s).Post holders will be responsible for administering the vaccine to clients within a team of staff working in a clinical setting under the direction and supervision of a registered health care professionalIn particular, the post holder will be responsible for:• Configuration of their vaccination station.• Administration of the vaccine.• Disposal of clinical waste and change of PPE as per national guidelines.• Adherence to infection control practices between individuals.The post holder should be educated to NVQ 3 level in a relevant subject or have equivalent proven experience in a health care setting. Although relevant training will be provided, post holders should ideally have experience of administering vaccines and providing immunisation advice within a health care setting.For further details please email:
