PLEASE NOTE THIS VACANCY IS FOR THE HEXHAM AREAAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented, ambitious and dynamic senior nurse to support the delivery of a vaccine for Covid-19 across the North East and North Cumbria. This programme of work will be the biggest immunisation programme of our time and will be both challenging and rewarding. As a Nursing Manager, the post holder will work as leader of a dynamic team in delivering a safe and effective service for the mass delivery of COVID-19 vaccinations. The post holder will be responsible for clinical oversight of multiple vaccination and post-vaccination observation pods within one or multiple mass vaccination sites. In particular, the post holder will be responsible for co-ordination and oversight of screening and vaccination delivery and the provision of adequate leadership and support to all staff and citizens. The post holder will ensure the effective delivery of care including undertaking specialist procedure, providing specialist advice, structured education and ongoing support to the site staff and the patients.Essential Requirements ·Educated to a graduate or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master’s level·Registered Nurse with NMC registration and with considerable experience of working at management level within the NHS·Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development·Must have an understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement·Ability to prioritise own workload·Able to work as an effective and responsible team member·Ability to evaluate own and others contribution to delivering quality care and health promotion to patients, taking appropriate action to improve the patient experience.·Experience in team management.·
