Most importantly youll be technically skilled and a first-class communicator, ready and able to provide an elevated level oftax compliance and advisory services to a valued portfolio of several hundred corporate tax clients.The role includes line management responsibilities for the tax team, and youll be expected to inspire and nurture talent working at a more junior level and review the work of a team of talented accountants.The Partners will also expect the successful candidate to support them with ad hoc projects and to help the firm grow further via a range of business development workstreams.This is an exciting and extremely well-remunerated role and as such we anticipate a high level of interest. • Ideally ACCA/ACA or CA qualified. CTA will be a distinct advantage.
• Demonstrable leadership experience of working in accountancy practice within the tax team.
• The ability to provide first-class compliance and advisory for clients from a vast portfolio of varying sectors and sizes, predominantly in the field of corporate tax.
• Technically proficient with a strong working knowledge of corporate tax.
• Experience in more complex and specific areas of tax will be an advantage but are not essential (I.e patent box, R&D, due diligence, group tax planning. mergers etc.)
• First-class communication skills.
• An appetite to support the Partners to proactively grow the business and be involved with strategic and marketing processes in line with this goal.
• A strong leader and team player that encourages and motivates others.
• Self-motivated with the ability to produce work in a timely manner.
• A strategic, creative, and analytical thinker.
• Ambitious and career oriented.

Job Purpose

• Review corporate tax computations.
• Cash extraction and capital gains tax experience.
• Tax relief claims.
• R&D.
• Capital allowances.
• Leading a team of tax accountants at an established and growing firm of accountants.
• Working alongside fellow Partners, managing a portfolio of corporate and potentially personal clients in a wide variety of tax specific areas.
• Lead advisory work with clients.
• Nurturing the tax team and ensuring that clients receive excellent customer service and support.
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure that clients receive the benefit of all business services.
• Working closely with other departments to ensure client deadlines and requirements are met.
• Providing training and development for colleagues and team members.
• Representing the company at networking and business events, identifying new business opportunities.
