Job Description

VENN GROUP The specialists in professional temporary recruitmentPermanent Fire Safety Advisor Role Location:Hertfordshire Hours:37.5 hours a week, Mon – FriSalary:£43,742 per annum + exceptional benefits Main responsibilities of the role:

  • Assist the Fire Safety Manager with all projects and day to day operational matter to ensure that all proposed new, upgrading fire alarm/detection systems comply with current standards and regulations prior to tendering and installation
  • Provide advice, guidance, support, and assistance on matters relating to fire safety management
  • Produce and deliver training presentations in fire safety for on-site and contractual staff, in liaison with the Fire Safety Manager and Training department
  • Assist as required in producing and updating policies, generating reports, and papers at the request of the Fire Safety Manager, or more senior management
  • Produce monthly/quarterly/annual reports on fire safety and fire alarm activations
  • Monitor the provision and maintenance of fire doors, shutters, and other structures
  • Undertake Fire Safety Risk Assessments and Fire Safety Audits as part of the requirements of the Regulatory reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
Essential requirements:
  • You must be educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualifications relating to fire safety management
  • You will be a Corporate member of a professional organisation i.e., Institution of Fire Engineers Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) qualification and will ideally hold a Membership of an Association of Fire Officers
  • The ideal candidate will have previously worked within the Fire Service
