Job Description

Payroll AdministratorLocation: Hertfordshire (Hybrid Working)Salary: £27,000 + Excellent BenefitsJob Type: Full Time, 37.5 hrs a weekOur client, a top-quality care provider for clients with physical and mental disabilities, is seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to join their dynamic payroll team. With multiple branches nationwide, they are committed to delivering exceptional care services and are offering an exciting opportunity for a payroll professional to make an impact.The Role:As a Payroll Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing complex payroll processes and handling inquiries. Your responsibilities will include efficiently processing mid-month, weekly, and month-end payrolls, as well as managing timesheetsboth manually and electronically.Responsibilities:

  • Take charge of processing payroll for a high volume of employees, overseeing the entire payroll cycle.
  • Provide initial support and promptly address inquiries related to payroll.
  • Accurately and promptly handle changes to Tax Codes.
  • Verify new hires and departures by collaborating closely with managers.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all HR and finance information.
  • Calculate retroactive payments based on change forms, ensuring precision.
  • Foster seamless communication and collaboration with an external payroll provider.
  • Collaborate effectively with pension providers for smooth transitions during new hires and departures.
Requirements:
  • Bring 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced payroll role.
  • Display a comprehensive understanding of statutory payments, including Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity SPP, PAYE, and National Insurance.
  • Possess strong numerical skills and proficiency in manual payroll calculations.
  • Showcase sound knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
  • Familiarity with ITrent is considered advantageous.
