Job Description

Interim Group Reporting Manager - 10 months FTCProfessional Services (home-based - 1 day a week in Hertfordshire Office)£60,000 - £70,000 pro rata + benefitsThe CompanyAn Interim Group Reporting Manager is sought by this £1bn market-leading Business Services group (itself part of a multi-billion professional services group). Supporting an international portfolio of blue-chip clients, the business has built an enviable reputationfor excellence, service and delivering a broad range of business solutions to global customers. On-going development of key market sectors, services and client base, alongside profitable growth has seen the organisation develop a global reputation for excellenceand service quality. As a result of a key strategic project, the group seeks a qualified accountant to cover for the Group Reporting Manager.Key Responsibilities of the Interim Group Reporting Manager

  • Ensure monthly close calendar is communicated and performed timely and accurately including reconciliation of differences between finance systems and analysis tools
  • Detailed review of monthly and quarterly consolidated accounts (P&L, Balance sheet, Cashflow) and consolidated submission files to the parent company
  • Responsible for maintaining a strong, robust financial control environment, ensuring Sox compliance activities for accounting/reporting processes are performed
  • Management of a remote finance team (this will be available for those with prior management experience)
  • Key contact for external audit processes and have understanding of the audit calendar and all interactions
  • A significant amount of ad-hoc financial queries and projects from the SLT and parent company
Skills & Attributes of the Group Reporting Manager
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Experience managing a multi-currency group consolidation
  • A background in audit would be highly advantageous or managing an audit process
  • Detailed and up-to-date knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP (FRS102) and ability to interpret and apply technical standards
  • Prior experience of HFM or Cubes (BI Tool) would be highly advantageous
This position can be home-based 4 days a week with one day a week in the North Hertfordshire offices.
