Job Description

Company & Role OverviewOur client on of the UKs leading ecommerce companies is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Front End Developer to improve technical processes within the company. You will be reporting to the Systems Integration and Development Manager, The successfulcandidate will need experience using UX, CSS, HTML and JQuery.Main Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a varied Agile Product & Development Team on customer-facing platforms, actively taking part in sprint ceremonies.
  • Produce and maintain re-usable, flexible & responsive front-end code for web applications.
  • Implement UI designs responsibly to provide recommendations for optimisation.
  • Develop an extensive understanding of the tech stack, data model and business requirements to provide technical and optimisation advice whenever necessary.
  • Liaise with back end / full stack developers to implement code and fix issues/debug.
  • Identify issues and be able to offer solutions, both independently and collaboratively.
  • Put forward proposals of potential improvements to processes, repositories and refinement of existing code.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years as a front-end/UX developer
  • Demonstrate experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
  • Sophisticated knowledge of CSS & modern layout methods (Flex, CSS Grid)
  • CSS pre-processors (SASS, LESS)
  • JavaScript frameworks
  • Highly competent with Vue.js and its core principles such as components, reactivity, Vuex, TypeScript, and the virtual DOM
  • Knowledge of implementing Vue.js framework.
  • Basic Understanding of angular.js, C# and the MVC architecture highly beneficial
  • Advanced skills in the design, build and optimization of reusable, front-end code.
  • A strong understanding of SEO, optimisation and accessibility fundamentals
  • Experience of with design systems / style guides, patterns and modular components.
  • Sketch, InVision, Zeplin or similar for developer hand-off
  • Experience in dealing with wireframes, prototypes and other design files to build complex responsive layouts.
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field
