A leading name in the satellite communications industry seeks a Digital RF Systems Team Lead with a strong background in DSP and Communications Systems Engineering to join their growing team. You’ll take responsibility for defining the system architecture, including ADCs / DACs and signal processing hardware and algorithms, producing simulations in MATLAB to model the system.As a key member of a brand new team, designing a new range of Digital IF distribution products, it will be advantageous to have previous experience of software radio or related discipline.The ideal Digital RF Systems Team Lead will have the following skills and experience:• Good academic background and several years industrial experience.• Experience with communications systems engineering.• Extensive experience of communication DSP algorithm design & simulation in MATLAB.• An understanding of data-converter specifications and error sources.• Knowledge of wideband digitisation.• Good to have experience with VHDL and FPGA.If you have a good understanding of real-world constraints and a pragmatic approach to the implementation of communications systems equipment, you will be rewarded with a great salary, challenging projects and career development.The role has the potential to take on people management.
