Job Description

We are looking for a proactive Junior Office Administrator to work for our client based just outside Hertford. Ideally you will have previous administration experience, but that is not essential. You will be confident answering and redirecting phone calls.The ideal person will be a self-starter, flexible with the ability to act on their own initiative. There is a lot to learn, and you will be fully supported. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow.As the role is in a rural location just outside of Hertford you will need your own transport.On a day to day basis the Reception Administrator will:

  • Check in deliveries and signing off delivery notes ensuring that all orders are complete, keeping a digital record of delivery notes.
  • Arranging deliveries.
  • Maintaining databases.
  • Filing and scanning documents.
  • Digitalising records.
  • Preparing outgoing post and taking it to the post office.
  • Housekeeping of the office - eg loading the dishwasher, making sure meeting rooms are left tidy, making sure there is milk in the fridge!
  • Ensuring that the kitchen area and facilities are kept tidy and stocked.
  • Answering telephone calls, taking messages and dealing with email enquiries.
  • Covering the reception area, meeting, and greeting customers, ensuring all visitors are signed in and out.
  • Maintaining supplies including stationery.
  • Uniform stock maintenance.
  • First aid stock maintenance and other health and safety tasks.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the office and equipment.
  • Ad hoc admin tasks and projects.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Confident, approachable, and can-do attitude.
  • Team player.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, and Outlook in particular)
  • Your own transport
