Job Description

Supply Chain Analyst£27,000 - £28,000 per annum plus benefitsCaerphillyThis is a business offering a track record of consistent growth over the last 20 years. My client provides distinctive and bespoke products to customers globally. Due to this expansion I am delighted to say they are working with me exclusively in recruitinga Supply Chain Analyst. You will form part of a high-performance team with this manufacturing business based in South Wales. Reporting directly in to the Supply Chain Team Leader as Supply Chain Analyst you will ensure the timely procurement and supply ofallocated materials and services.As Supply Chain Analyst youll be

  • Monitoring and meeting demand using relevant MRP messages and low stock exception reports and to prioritise daily MRP messages, reviewing the low stock exceptions report, thus eliminating any supply jeopardies;
  • Identifying daily parts issues in advance and advising as to any potential long- or short-term issues.
  • Assisting in sourcing and assessing the supply chain, when required and the day to day management of relevant suppliers, ensuring compliance and to resolving all shortmedium term supply problems;
  • Reducing total acquisition costs using relevant tools, including negotiation, to increase stock turns;
  • Supporting product changes through NPD and NPI, providing procurement support for changes and new products.
  • Responding in a timely manner to Customer Service enquiries.
  • Communicating requirements to suppliers and manage suppliers on a daily basis.
  • Participating in negotiation where necessary with supplierspreferential pricing, lead times, batch sizes, delivery quantities etc.
  • Continually review part category, lead times, safety stocks, forecast etc. with a view to raising stock turns and lowering stock out scenarios.
  • Minimise / reduce slow and obsolete stock.
What youll bring to the team
  • Strong background and work experience in supply chain, procurement and warehouse (goods in/dispatch) operations.
  • Ideally you will have a strong commercial and negotiating background
  • Experience of working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
