We are pleased to be working with our client, an established and successful business who value their people, to recruit a Sales Ledger Clerk to join their finance team.The role includes full responsibility for the management of the sales ledger, including invoice processing and credit control. You will be confident, analytical with good interpersonal skills and self-motivated.Duties:• Day to day responsibility for the credit control function of the business, ensuring all customer credit limits are approved and debt is paid to agreed terms.• Monthly debtor reporting with commentary for Finance Director.• Running the daily invoicing process.• Raising credits notes and adhoc invoices.• Daily cash allocations and journals.• Respond to and resolve customer queries in a timely manner.• Calculate foreign exchange impact of sales.• Provide weekly aged debt reporting.• Manage invoice queries through business to ensure debt is paid to terms.• Weekly cash flow forecast.• Managing invoicing and payments through customer EDI portals.• Upload data onto stakeholder’s portals, complete monthly reconciliations of accounts to their portals.• Responsibility for month-end/year-end closing of Sales Ledger• Assist with audit requirements.• Control petty cash function for the business.• Adhoc responsibilitiesEssential Skills: • Previous Sales Ledger experience• Able to work to deadlines, with good time management and organisational skills• Good communication skills.• Ability to develop strong internal and external relationships• Flexible approach and willing to work additional hours when the job requires• Strong system skills, Excel, EDI etc., experience of Sage 1000 is desirable• Excellent attention to detailBenefits:
