Job Description

Finance AssistantLocation: Ystrad Mynach, Caerphilly, Glamorgan, CF82 7RJSalary: £28K - £30K per annumContract: Full time, PermanentThe TWT Logistics Group is a high-quality provider of transport solutions in the South Wales and Hampshire areas and operates a varied fleet of tractor units, rigids and well over 100 trailers of all types.Our philosophy is to work closely with our customers to develop an extensive understanding of their unique business needs. This enables us to deliver bespoke logistics solutions, which provide distinct value with measurable results.TWT are members of 2 pallet networks and are also the local delivery partner for another multinational distribution company.We have an excellent opportunity for a Finance Assistant to strengthen our growing team based in Ystrad Mynach and support the Finance Director with the next phase of the companys development following the recent acquisition by Aquila Food Group HoldingsLimited.The role will be fast paced and hands on, requiring the candidate to have an exceptional knowledge of the accounting basics, using Excel to produce reports for the directors and management team and mentored by a qualified accountant. An enthusiastic, cando attitude is required.As our Finance Assistant you will be responsible for:

  • Assistance with and preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Preparation of weekly executive reports against KPIs
  • Working with directors on cost reports
  • Tracking vehicle costs and allocating costs
  • VAT returns
  • Payroll support during holiday, sickness
  • Preparing and posting journals
  • Working with the auditors for the year end process
  • Bank reconciliations
You must have:
  • Minimum AAT 4
  • Sage 50 where further training can be provided
  • Sage Payroll where further training can be provided
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel
