Job Description

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Secretary to join a dynamic Family Department at a law firm in Sunderland.As a key member of our team, you will provide essential secretarial and administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the department.Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative assistance to the Family Department.
  • Assist with drafting legal documents, correspondence, and court forms.
  • Manage and organise files, documents, and correspondence.
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings for attorneys.
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries from clients and external parties.
  • Collaborate closely with fee earners and other support staff to deliver high-quality service to clients.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all legal standards.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or similar role, preferably within family law.
  • Exceptional secretarial and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Proficiency in IT tools and software, including MS Office and legal case management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about delivering excellent client service and exceeding expectations.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
