This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the worlds leading R&D companies as they are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer basedat their state of the art R&D facility in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire in the UK.For this Senior Mechanical Design Engineer job you will be responsible for the development of high quality, high demand products sold into a regulated environment and supporting the product design throughout its life, making continuous improvements to improveproduct value.Key responsibilities for the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer job will be:- Responsible for all aspects of product design, from concept to manufacture.- Provide technical input and guidance to others enabling them to deliver compliant solutions.- Deliver innovative solutions using industry best practices and in line with company processes to meet technical and business requirements.- Working within small multi-disciplined teams, deliver work packages on target.- Provide input and support for the preparation and maintenance of programs of work.The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will require the following qualifications, education and previous experience requirements:- Degree level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design- 3D CAD competencies - Solidworks (Preferred) or Creo- To succeed in this position, you must have proven ability of creating and promoting design concepts, from initial requirements definition, through to production- Aptitude for industrial design and product styling.- Knowledge and experience of current manufacturing methods, particularly mouldings and mould tool construction, with a proven ability to select materials and finishes.This is exciting job is to join a growing company who can offer the opportunity for career progression and personal development.
