Field Service Engineer

Job Description

Our client a leading on and Off shore Electrical engineering company is is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our team. The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of equipment. This position will workclosely with the Field Service Department and Sales Department.Responsibilities:

• Provide troubleshooting and service to customers onsite at their business location
• Perform electrical wiring of commercial industrial inverter drives
• Install and repair of all makes of vfd drives. Commissioning of control networks and fault finding, profibus, ethernet, rs232/485,ect
• Troubleshoot and repair of vfd drives and other control systems as well as other equipment in a commercial environment
• Perform electro-mechanical work in a industrial, marine or offshore, etc.
• Complete paperwork for service calls, produce risk assessments and method statements for the work to be completed.
• Follow safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment.
• The person will gain or already poses skills like welding (steel, stainless steel & aluminium), soldering & circuit board repairs, forklift driving, mechanical design and building of prototyping of power generation units.
• Panel building and wiring of control switches, relays, HMIs, PLCs and inverter drives.
• Computer literacy is a must.
• Knowledge of all MS office programmes and commissioning software & understanding of remote connections, diagnostics, installing and setting up of different types of software as needed

This is a full-time position with Monday-Friday availability when working in the workshop or office. When onsite or offshore will be 7 days a week 12 hours per day.Uplifted rates for overtime, time onsite and time abroadWe work in the uk and abroad and offshore. The ideal candidate will have some college education; 4+ years of experience in commercial service; a valid driver’s license; and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.The role includes international travelExperience:

• Electrical engineering: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (required)
• CSCS (preferred)
