We are always looking for talented/aspiring learning support assistants to join our team and help us deliver high-quality educationto learners.Foundation Learning TutorStockport/South ManchesterReed Further Education are working with a Further Education College to recruit some Foundation Learning Tutors to join their team ASAP. TheFoundation Learning programfocuses on creating asupportive environmentfor students with special educational needs and disabilities. The program spans fromLevel 1toEntry Level 2qualifications, ensuring that students are well-prepared formainstream college education. Alongside core subjects likemathematicsandEnglish, learners also developindependent study skillsandemployability skills.Requirements;

Extensive experience of working with young people, in education, and individuals with SEND/Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities.
In-depth understanding of the specific issues relating to the education of people who have learning difficulties/disabilities, sensory, physical impairments or other specific learning difficulties.
DBS on the update service or the willingness to apply for one.

Day to Day of the role:

Work closely with learners with additional needs to provide tailored support and assistance.
Deliver sessions focussed on employability and job skills.
Facilitate an inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse requirements of students.
Monitor and support the progress and development of students.
Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
Provide encouragement and motivation to students to help them achieve their potential.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience as an employability tutor, or similar foundation learning experience
A strong understanding and commitment to safeguarding practices.
Minimum of GCSE A-C/Level 2 in English and Maths.
An Enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one.
