Job Description

Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Transport Shift Assistant for a well established niche sector Freight Forwarder. The role will be working in a Transport operation working various shifts..Position SummaryDue to continued growth, the company is recruiting for a Transport Assistant focused in temperature control work for urgent pharmaceutical logistics, to join their busy Operations team, based in their Heathrow Office.Shifts are Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day between 0400 - 2200 rotating weekly.Weekend coverage required on a rotational basis (paid as overtime)Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that there are sufficient ready to use temperature probes in stock and that they are in date
  • General office duties and answering department phone
  • Transport administration work and assisting driver controllers
  • Updating spreadsheets for stock levels
  • Working with and controlling the use of specialised packaging containing Liquid nitrogen
  • Clean and prepare specialist packaging
  • Ensure the fridge and freezers have sufficient stock of refrigerants
  • Assisting operational drivers to load / unload vehicles and assisting drivers where needed
  • Ensuring warehouse and surrounding areas, including car park, are kept clean and tidy
  • Ensuring the premises are kept secure by keeping the shutters down and challenging anyone without a valid company ID
Candidate Requirements:
  • Transport or logistics administration warehouse experience
  • Advanced IT skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • A flexible attitude to work
What is offered:
  • Basic Annual Salary: £23, 800
  • Shift Allowance: £1500.00
  • Sign on Bonus: £1,500.00
  • Annual Bonus: 5%
