An established client of ours in the aviation industry is looking to recruit a Payroll Specialist with experience of start to finish payroll and to manage the day to day payroll function as this is a sole role sitting within the finance team.You will beworking closely with the Accounts and HR team and will be responsible for all aspects of payroll administration from start to finish. You will have at least 3- 5 yearsexperience in Payroll within a busy environment and large payroll size experience (approx1000 employees). Ideally with experience of the latest RTI submissions, auto enrolment pension, starters, leavers, P45s, P46;s, P60s , P11ds etc as well as calculation of SSP, SMP, SPP etc. Experience working on a Sage Payroll system is an advantage & strongExcel spreadsheets is essential. Ideal candidates will be available immediately as this role is urgent and needs someone to start asap. in order to gain handover ( will still consider candidates on notice). Ideally experienced Payroller with an accountable5 year work history in order to be compliant with security checks. The position is offering a mixture of remote and office based work, but initially first month or so office based.Job Purpose:The Senior Payroll Specialist will be part of the Finance Team and is responsible for processing payroll and pensions funds, maintaining employee personnel records, conducting payroll reporting and auditing and tax duties. Asuccessful candidate will have strong attention to detail and experience solving complex payroll tasks.Job Duties:Collecting timesheet data and payroll informationEntering data into payroll and administrative databases and software programs, like SAGE 50 and SAGE payrollReviews, prepares, and processes payroll. Utilizes SAGE to produce accurate and timely payrollEnsures compliance with all applicable wage and hour lawsVerifies hours worked, paid time off, deductions, and pay adjustmentsEnters, maintains, and/or processes information in the SAGE payroll system (information may include employees hourly rates, salaries, commissions,bonuses or other compensation, holidays, deductions and withholdings, address changes,Processes and issues employee pay checks and statement of earnings and deductionsProvides information to employees and managers on payroll matters and tax issuesPrepares monthly, quarterly, and year end reportsFacilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditorsEnsures all taxes are reconciled, processed, and paid in a timely mannerKeeps informed about changes in tax and deduction laws that apply to the payroll processDeal with colleagues and HR department solving payroll queriesPerforms other duties assignedSkills and Qualifications:Associates or bachelors degree in business or accounting preferred. Proven experience in a payroll position in a fast-paced environment required. Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws. Good understanding of the common fiscal procedures. Excellent verbaland written communication skills. Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications, particularly managing large excel files, queries, databases, etc.Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills. Able to work effectively with minimal supervision.Personalskills: honesty; integrity; reliability; understanding of data privacy standards; high attention to detail; organisational skills; critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
