Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Operations Branch Manager for a well-established Freight Forwarder based in the Heathrow area.Job Description:-The company is a very profitable, long-standing, and growing business of 30+ years.The company are looking for a confident multimodal Freight Forwarding Senior Commercial candidate to oversee the daily operations of the company.The successful candidate will ensure that our business is well-coordinated and productive by managing its procedures and coaching its people.The area of responsibility for this role is very wide and thus requires thorough knowledge of various company processes.You must be experienced and demonstrate industry competencies including being able to plan many kinds of operational activities.You need to be an excellent leader who can help drive the drive the business forward.The aim of the successful applicant will be to safeguard and to ensure the efficiency of the companys operations to facilitate accelerating development and long-term growth and success.Duties and Requirements:-- Work closely with MD and FD- Operational & Sales experience - all-rounder - Exports, Imports & Customs- Organise and oversee the daily operations including the Warehouses, Transport, Exports, and Imports Departments- Customs and compliance experience - responsibility for internal controls, AEO, ISO applications, IATA training and certification and HMRC Guarantees- Hands-on, important client-facing, global RFQ / bid / tender manager- Strong commercial awareness - cost-saving and rates negotiation- Manage teams of 10+ inc. support, motivation, guidance, recruitment, and training - creating a strong team ethos- Change agent, able to introduce or embrace change both technological and manual operational processesAs an agency we are fast becoming the number one Freight specialist in the UK.
