Job Description

Cabin Fitter (Plumber) - Modular Buildings & Portable AccommodationLocation - Heathrow, LondonSalary - £21,000 per year plus Overtime and BenefitsOur client is a leading supplier or modular space in the UK, offering one of the largest fleets of site accommodation & secure storage units. From their national network of depots, these units are prepared for both rental & sales.They currently have a number of opportunities available for Modular Cabin Fitters to be based in their Heathrow depot, to assist with the preparation of their range of cabins to send out to clients on hire across the South East region.The Role - Cabin Fitter (Plumber) - Modular Buildings & Portable Accommodation:Reporting into the Fitter Team Leader and working as part of a depot-based team, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning of units and fittings internally and externally
  • Manual preparation for painting
  • To complete PAT Testing
  • To have a good mix of general maintenance skills
  • To have a basic knowledge of power tools
  • Be able to complete external lock fitting
  • To be able to complete exterior door fitting
  • To be able to repair and replace wall and ceiling boards
  • To be able to fit Partitions
  • To be able to fit final trim
  • To be able to replace plywood flooring
  • To be able to remove / fit wall and ceiling panels
  • To be able to fit travel panels
  • To be able to complete break in and door lock repairs
  • To complete vinyl floor covering installation and repairs
  • To be able to fit sinks, taps and worktops
  • Have a basic understanding of plumbing circuits/systems
  • To be able to complete water pressure testing
  • To be able to test and complete water sterilisation
  • To be able to fit standard convector, over sink & under sink water heater, downflow heater and standard hand dryer
  • To be able to check downpipe, roof and floor integrity
  • To be able to repair window roller shutter
  • To be able to select correct repair kit
  • To be able to cut a window/door panel from a blank panel
    • The Candidate - Cabin Fitters - Modular Buildings & Portable Accommodation:The successful applicants for these roles will need to demonstrate the following:
  • Previous experience as a Cabin Fitter, Interior Fit-Out Fitter or Construction Site Handyman
  • Be a Multi Skilled Allrounder
  • Have a basic understanding of plumbing & electrical circuits/systems,
  • Qualifications/Certifications aren’t essential for this role, but any of the following would be of interest (full training will be offered throughout your employment):
    • o MPBAo ECAo COSH
  • Excellent Worth Ethic, Hard Working, Ambitious and Driven individual
  • Competent in the use of basic hand/power tools
  • Full UK driving licence
