Role PurposeThe purpose of the Head of Administration is to oversee the work of other clerical and administrative staff whilst also performing administrative duties themselves. The role is to ensure legislative compliance, manage quality, be responsible for contractualobligations, prepare reports and perform other clerical duties. The Head of Administration spends a significant amount of time coordinating and communicating with other departments and staff, including senior-level employees.The scope of the role demands: Thorough attention to detail Resourcefulness and excellent time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to take initiative yet work well in a group, demonstrating sensitivity and empathy To be an inspirational leader, able to positively influence people (internal and external) Proactivity and analysis, identifying areas of benefit and improvement Completion of all required reporting expeditiously and accurately To have a flexible approach to managing situations, even if not outlined as being within your job descriptionEnsure legislative compliance is always maintained Be responsible for contractual obligations and legal engagement Be responsible for the companies Security programs and procedures Oversee HR and recruitment; compliance with HR law and support the hiring and retention of high calibre staff Work with operational departments to ensure Quality protocols are deployed, maintaining excellence and efficiency Work with administration departments to ensure efficiency and effective document and deadline management Maintain a high level of understanding of Customs & Excise laws and procedures Arrange Training and Education, both internally and externally supplied
