Job Description

Now events are back on this market leader has a new exciting opportunity for an experienced freight forwarding operator, any experience of live events would be very advantageous and the top salary can be very negotiable/generous for the right person. Offeringexcellent benefits.This could also be an new opportunity and challenge for someone with a little general forwarding ops knowledge and a huge passion for music/live events, either in imports or exports who looking to move into the exciting world of live event logistics.Duties:

  • Responsible for quotes, both airfreight and oceanfreight, imports and exports, including cross trade shipments.
  • Preparing and processing export documentation including MAWB, HAWB and security documents.
  • Import and export customs clearances under ATA carnet, Temporary imports and exports.
  • Attending site at the biggest music and sports events all over the world to monitor unload/load of ocean containers/trucks for events.
  • Managing post flights, ensuring cargo arrives as booked.
  • Daily Billing on import and export files.
  • Liaising with key clients daily and managing their expectations.
Salary is negotiable and depends on level of experience, £35k, experienced operator basic (previous events is Neg ++) For someone with a little experience, but a huge passion for music / live events etc, £30-35k.Benefits - 20 days holiday, rising to 25 after 5 years continuous employment. Company pension scheme, private healthcare after 3 months, a chance to work weekends / overtime, dependant on business. Overtime available, "as and when" and there is always coverONLY IF the candidate wants to do overtime. 1.5x salary after hours / Saturdays, 2 x salary on Sundays and 3 x Salary on Bank Holidays.
