Job Description

Due to expansion this established niche freight forwarder have a new role available for an experienced Export Manager, this is a multi-modal with the emphasis on airfreight. The successful candidate will be able to lead an motivate a team of 8, have goodcommercial awareness and the ability to meet and liaise with clients ensuring services levels are maintained and existing clients are developed to full potential. Able to negotiate with suppliers (airlines/shipping lines and transport companies)Main responsibilities / tasks

  • Overseeing the Export Team of 8 staff
  • Supporting the team with any questions or queries that may arise, including those from packing and casing staff.
  • Domestic and Export Job set ups, for which are then filtered through to the Export and Road Transport Team
  • Dealing with supplier costing queries (Airline CASS queries, DHL/ FedEx) queries
  • Accountable Manager within the Aviation Security Programme ensuring procedures are up to date and maintaining processes are followed.
  • Air (bias) and sea freight experience

£40-50k dep on experience22 days hols plus BHM-F 9-6 role (flexibility may be required to support the needs of the business)
